The Stevie Awards for Great Employers
Recruiting or Talent Acquisition Team of the Year; Employer of the Year – Manufacturing; Achievement in Recruitment
On August 18, 2020, Resolute was recognized by The Stevie® Awards for Great Employers in three categories. The company won a silver Stevie in the Recruiting or Talent Acquisition Team of the Year category for our Human Resources department’s recruitment strategy. Resolute also won two bronze Stevies: one for Employer of the Year – Manufacturing and the other in the Achievement in Recruitment category for our Jobs Where You Grow campaign. The annual awards competition recognizes outstanding performance in the workplace worldwide. More than 700 nominations from organizations of all sizes were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of HR-related categories.

Excellence in annual reporting and transparency
On August 17, 2020, Resolute earned two awards from the prestigious 2020 MerComm Annual Report Competition (ARC) for our online sustainability reporting: bronze in the Chairman's Letter/Presentation category and honors in the Script/Writing category. A globally recognized international competition, the ARC Awards honor outstanding achievement in annual reporting. The competition is unique in that each annual report is judged against itself, based on its success in communicating its company's story. Judges come from around the globe, representing leaders in the fields of investor relations, writing, design and photography.

Resolute recognized for sustainability reporting
On August 2, 2020, Resolute won a gold Vision Award from the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). The company was recognized in the ESG (environmental, social and governance) report competition for our 2018 sustainability reporting prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards sustainability reporting procedures defined by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). A global annual report competition, the Vision Awards provide a platform for communications professionals to demonstrate the value they are delivering to their organizations and clients. The 2019 competition drew one of the largest number of submissions ever, representing nearly 1,000 organizations from a broad range of industries.

Resolute recognized as business leader in the social responsibility category
On August 6, 2020, Resolute was recognized by the Government of Canada through the Canada’s Volunteer Awards program, which honors the significant contributions individuals, not-for-profit organizations, social enterprises and businesses across the country make to their communities through volunteering. Resolute won the Business Leader Award for Quebec, one of the five regions covered by the program, for the company’s innovative community outreach strategy. The goal of Canada’s Volunteer Awards is to inspire Canadians from all walks of life to find new ways of making a difference in their communities.

Resolute’s TMP biorefinery wins project of the year
On July 21, 2020, Resolute won an Environment + Energy (E+E) Top Project of the Year Award for our Thunder Bay (Ontario) thermomechanical pulp biorefinery, which is focused on developing new ways to efficiently produce and commercialize innovative bioproducts derived from wood. Now in their eighth year, the E+E Awards are run by Environment + Energy Leader, an online resource for news, best practices and research that have influenced environment, energy and sustainability conversations – and powered decision-making. Winners are selected from across a variety of industries based on their success in providing significant sustainability and energy management results.
